After my recent post about Cocktail Kits 2 Go, the original Carry On Cocktail Kit reached out and offered to send me a couple samples over for me to review for you. They were kind enough to send along their Old Fashioned and Gin & Tonic kits and as I mentioned before, they also make a Moscow Mule. These are fantastic to keep in mind as holiday gift ideas, stocking stuffers, or just a great gift for the frequent traveler in your life.
The biggest difference between the two companies, at least where the Old Fashioned is concerned is that the Carry On Cocktail Kit uses a glycerin based bitters [rather than spirits based] that is both legal to fly with and use on a plane where as the Cocktail Kits 2 Go use repackaged Angostura bitters which contain alcohol which isn’t technically legal to consume in an airplane or ship across borders as it contains alcohol. Something you may want to consider before choosing a brand.
I’ll be reviewing the Old Fashioned kit soon for you and the Gin & Tonic for a future project that will be announced in the coming months.
Cheers and thank you Eric for sending these over.
